What is Candida?It is known that at least one third of healthy people carry the Candida fungus in the mouth, intestine or the vagina in its commensal, unicellular, yeast-like form. This form of Candida is normally harmless, especially in low numbers, and is therefore considered a normal inhabitant in these locations.
